The meaning of d'Annam

Nick, founder of d’Annam, and is often asked about the meaning behind the brand name.

At its simplest, it means “from Vietnam.” In Vietnamese, “An” speaks of peace and serenity - values at the soul of the brand. “Nam” is a nod to Vietnam, their roots. Together, they form a name born of both heritage and stillness, like a quiet breeze through rice fields.

Nick always loved the name “An.” He even dreamed of naming his firstborn An if they had a girl. But life gave them a beautiful boy instead. :)

Words are merely a vehicle to express intention. Their intention has always been to celebrate Asian culture with reverence and authenticity.

Packaging

The brand packagings are 100% recyclable. They actively choose recycled materials and eliminate plastic from their packaging process whenever possible.

Encasing each perfume bottle is a paper box, devoid of branding to inspire its creative reuse, thereby breathing new life into it.
